ECIJA has been classified among the most innovative companies in Europe for ten consecutive years, according to the Financial Times
The firm has received four nominations for the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards 2026 and has now been recognized as one of the leading firms in Europe for legal innovation for a decade uninterrupted.
The Financial Times has once again classified ECIJA among the most innovative law firms in Europe. With four nominations for the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards 2026, the firm has been recognized this way for ten consecutive years, consolidating a trajectory characterized by the transformation of its business model and the provision of legal services.
This year, ECIJA competes in four categories:
- Innovation in Strategic Management, for 'Towards a Tech-enabled Legal Platform', the project through which the firm is evolving its 'Full AI Firm' strategy toward a legal platform model where technology, data, and legal expertise are integrated at the core of the business.
- Innovative Lawyers in Infrastructure, for their involvement in the structuring of the largest data center in Europe prepared for AI.
- Innovative Practitioner, in recognition of the career and work of partner Joana Pinto.
- Most Innovative Law Firm in Europe, the highest category of the awards, in which ECIJA competes again after being recognized in 2022 as the most innovative firm in continental Europe.

This latest recognition reinforces ECIJA's international position as a leader in legal and technological transformation. This trajectory has been driven by the company's 'Full AI Firm' strategy, the development of new service delivery models, and the certification of its artificial intelligence management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the first certification of this type obtained by a law firm in Spain with international accreditation.
