Lucía do Nascimento

Lucía has extensive experience advising public and private companies from a wide range of sectors on data protection, privacy and compliance matters in the processing of personal data on a recurring basis. She specialises in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, biometrics, big data, cookies and adtech, as well as complex data sharing agreements, mergers, acquisitions and cross-border contracts. She also acts as external Data Protection Officer for numerous companies.

She actively participates in the defence in sanctioning proceedings before the Supervisory Authorities, and in litigation related to the right to honour, privacy, self-image and cybercrime. He has direct experience in court hearings before national and European courts.

He also advises on cybersecurity, e-commerce, consumer and user rights, as well as labour issues related to privacy. She has participated in multiple compliance and information security audits.

Experience in representative matters 

• Admission of the cassation appeal before the Supreme Court on the right to be forgotten.
• Accompanying Mahou S.A. in data protection, competition law and food chain projects.
• Defence of Iberia L.A.E. in disciplinary proceedings before the AEPD and advice on consumer and privacy matters.
