Tender for two flyovers on Route 32 ends with a single bid

Contribution to the CRHoy article on the tender to build the Jiménez and Siquirres flyovers on Route 32 resulted in a single bid from the company Meco.
Erick Jiménez, a lawyer specialising in public procurement at ECIJA, told CRHoy that in tendering processes, the ideal scenario is to receive multiple bids. However, it is possible to award the contract to a single bid if it meets all the requirements.
Furthermore, the law allows a contract to be awarded to a bid that exceeds the budget, provided that the funds are available to pay the price offered and that the bid is deemed reasonable.
