Strengthening international ties at IBA 2024: The inspiring speech of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

On September 16, during the International Bar Association (IBA) 2024 Annual Conference in Mexico City, we were honored to have the distinguished presence of Wilfred Mohr, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mexico. His speech, delivered to a select group of internationally renowned lawyers, offered an enriching perspective on Mexico and its role as a key player on the global stage.

Ambassador Mohr, with his remarkable diplomatic experience and deep knowledge of bilateral relations, highlighted the elements that make Mexico a unique and strategic nation for global trade. His speech addressed crucial aspects such as Mexico's geographic advantage, its strong industrial capabilities and its growing influence in international markets. He also highlighted the relevance of Mexican culture, noting how its ancient history and cultural diversity continue to fascinate the world.

In his speech, Mohr highlighted the strength of relations between Mexico and the Netherlands, while stressing the importance of continuing to build bridges of collaboration: “These ties are reflected in trade and investment, but also in cultural and legal exchange, and the IBA Conference is an ideal platform to further strengthen these ties.
