Domestic help on a daily basis: the six key obligations an employer must fulfil
Daniel Valverde, a partner specialising in employment law at the firm Ecija Legal, clarified that the fact that a domestic worker only works for a couple of days or a couple of hours does not affect the granting of employment rights, given that employment legislation makes no distinction between full-time and part-time workers when it comes to the granting of rights.
El Financiero , in collaboration with Valverde,has drawn up a list of the six obligations that must be met when employing domestic staff. Annual leave, payment in kind and social security are among these requirements.
