Sebastián Vallejo is taking part as a mentor in Legal Strategy Lab 2026

Sebastián Vallejo, our senior associate in the Legaltech department at ECIJA Ecuador, took part as a mentor in the 2026 edition of the Legal Strategy Lab, a competition organised by the Externado University of Colombia and aimed at promoting academic innovation, critical thinking and the development of solutions from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Under his mentorship, the team from the Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES), comprising Rafaela Flores, Juan Fernando Camacho and Cristopher Hidalgo, took first place in the competition after excelling in its various stages.

As part of the challenge, the students designed and programmed a fully functional tool to solve real-world problems faced by the Colombian Ombudsman’s Office, demonstrating the technological capabilities that law students can develop by creating software solutions tailored to specific needs.
