Mauricio París, a solicitor specialising in digital law, said that, beyond the cyber-attack itself, the nature of the information held by that credit reference agency must be analysed.
Mauricio París added in his article for AmeliaRueda.com that, given all the data available on the dark web, there are various risks for those affected, including identity theft, targeted financial fraud, phishing, extortion, physical risk and even the exposure of public figures – citing the President of the Republic herself as an example, having been used ‘as an example’ by the attacker.
