Javier Arnaiz, new partner in cybersecurity and data protection at ECIJA

Arnaiz advises companies and national and international regulators on strategic projects related to cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance.
His experience includes adapting to international standards such as ISO 27001, NIS2, ENS, DORA, and GDPR, as well as defense in administrative and disciplinary proceedings and negotiating complex technology contracts, especially in the financial sector.
Throughout his career, he has participated in high-impact projects, such as compliance assessment and training for the European Banking Authority and the European Central Bank on data protection, providing cybersecurity advice to Banco Santander, and regulatory assessment related to the implementation of a centralized identification system at the National Population Registry of Mexico, through the World Bank.
