Iberdrola has chosen ECIJA to implement Harvey within its legal and tax departments
ECIJA has been selected by Iberdrola to implement Harvey, an artificial intelligence platform specialising in the legal field, across all the energy group’s legal and tax departments.
The initiative forms part of the transformation plan spearheaded by Iberdrola’s General Secretariat and will enable the use of artificial intelligence to be extended to its legal and tax teams, which operate across dozens of jurisdictions, supporting more than 300 professionals within the group.
The project is structured around five key areas: process transformation, value creation, risk anticipation, training professionals in the responsible use of artificial intelligence, and promoting effective adoption and continuous improvement.
The collaboration is also underpinned by the existing strategic relationship between ECIJA and Harvey. In May 2026, Harvey selected ECIJA as its strategic partner for Latin America, with the aim of collaborating on the implementation and expansion of its technology within companies and legal departments across the region.
The ECIJA team supporting Iberdrola on the project is led by Alejandro Touriño and Rocío Catalá, alongside Sara de Pablo, Marta de Arespacochaga and Dhruvi Khandelwal – a multidisciplinary team specialising in transformation, artificial intelligence and technology applied to legal services.
This choice reinforces the firm’s expertise in the technological transformation of legal and tax functions and in the implementation of new working models supported by artificial intelligence.
