ECIJA strengthens its TMT area in Peru with the incorporation of Viviana García as a partner

With over 25 years of professional experience, Viviana García has built an outstanding career in personal data protection, privacy, cybersecurity and technology law. She was a partner for almost four years at the firm Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría, one of the most recognized in the region, and previously was part of Delmar Ugarte Advocats, where she worked for a decade.


Throughout her career, she has advised companies in consumer, industrial, educational, technological, financial, energy, NGO, and infrastructure sectors, leading compliance strategies, privacy programs and complex technological regulatory frameworks.


Furthermore, she combines her professional practice with an outstanding academic role. She is a professor in the Executive Training Program for DPO at the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH) and teaches the Diploma in Data Protection (LOPDP) in Ecuador, offered by GRCX3. She is a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and holds a Master's in Corporate Law from New York University (NYU). Additionally, she has international certifications such as Certified Data Privacy Professional (CDPP) by ISMS Forum and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) by IAPP, as well as being a lead implementer of ISO 29100 norms (privacy framework) and ISO 31700 (privacy by design).
