ECIJA participates in the CIBERGalicia Space Congress 2025

The CIBERGalicia Space Congress 2025 has established itself as one of the main forums for discussion on digital protection, risk management, and cyber resilience culture in Spain. During the event, representatives from the public, academic, and business sectors analyzed the evolution of the threat landscape, the increased exposure to cyberattacks due to the use of public networks, and the new obligations arising from European regulations regarding digital security.

Among the main conclusions of the meeting, experts agreed that connecting to public networks without adequate protection measures constitutes one of the main entry points for cyberattacks. The need to verify sources and links, adopt safe browsing protocols, and consider cybersecurity as a competitive advantage and a strategic axis in business management was emphasized.

ECIJA's Participation: Legal View on Corporate Cyber Resilience

Jesús Yáñez, partner at ECIJA specializing in cybersecurity and technological law, participated in one of the round tables of the congress, where he addressed the legal implications of using public networks and the corporate responsibility arising from incident management.

In his presentation, Yáñez highlighted the increase in legal and regulatory demands regarding cyber resilience, reminding that companies must align their internal policies with the new European framework for cybersecurity and cyber resilience.
