ECIJA is advising Basket Zaragoza on NH Capital’s acquisition of a stake in the company

ECIJA has advised Basket Zaragoza 2002, S.A.D. and its major shareholders on the acquisition of a stake in the club by NH Capital. The transaction, through which the new strategic partner acquires a 30 per cent stake, has been structured via a share sale, a capital increase and the contribution of Zaragoza CFF.

The entry of NH Capital marks the incorporation of Zaragoza CFF into the Basket Zaragoza Group. Both organisations will retain their identity and independent sporting management, whilst this new structure will drive their development and reinforce the commitment to women’s sport in Aragon.

The transaction takes place during the season in which Basket Zaragoza is celebrating its 25th anniversary and marks the start of a new phase aimed at consolidating the project and enhancing its sporting, social, institutional and business growth.
