ECIJA has appointed Eduardo Gómez de Enterría to strengthen its employment law practice
ECIJA is continuing its growth strategy by strengthening its Madrid office with the appointment of Eduardo Gómez de Enterría, who joins the firm as a partner to bolster the employment law practice in Spain. His arrival strengthens a strategic area for the firm, recognised by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 in Spain.
With over 25 years’ professional experience, Gómez de Enterría is one of Spain’s leading employment lawyers. Throughout his career, he has advised major national and international companies on all manner of employment matters, distinguishing himself in particular through his involvement in collective bargaining and dispute resolution, corporate restructuring, workforce reorganisation and highly complex employment situations. His practice is characterised by an in-depth understanding of labour relations and a strategic approach geared towards finding effective solutions in particularly complex scenarios.
Before joining ECIJA, Eduardo built his career at firms such as Sagardoy, Herbert Smith Freehills and Dentons, where he held leadership positions within the employment practice and advised major organisations on matters at both national and international levels. With his arrival, ECIJA continues to strengthen its employment law team, which comprises more than 25 professionals at the Madrid office, including partners with distinguished careers such as Raúl Rojas, Fernando Vizcaíno, Carlos Martínez-Cebrián and Álvaro Rodríguez de la Calle, to whom Gómez de Enterría now joins.

His professional career is complemented by extensive academic activity: he is a lecturer at IE on collective bargaining and corporate restructuring, an honorary lecturer at the Autonomous University of Madrid on the Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession, and also teaches labour law practice on the Master’s in Access to the Legal Profession at Villanueva University. He also regularly contributes as a lecturer and speaker at institutions such as APD, IESE and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the International Labour Association (ILA), FORELAB and ASNALA, a regular contributor to the American Bar Association, and a professional mediator accredited by the Ministry of Justice. His career has also been recognised by Chambers & Partners in the field of Employment.
