ECIJA Ecuador participated as a sponsor in the event "Impact of Tax and Fiscal Reforms for Companies in 2026", organised by the Eurochambers of Ecuador, a space for analysis aimed at discussing the regulatory changes in tax matters and their implications for the business sector.


The meeting brought together specialists and representatives of the business sector to address the main challenges that companies will face in the face of the new tax provisions and the control mechanisms implemented by the tax administration.


On behalf of ECIJA Ecuador, Paola Robalino Rosero, partner and director of the Tax and Investment area, participated as a panelist, sharing her vision on the challenges faced by companies in the current context of taxation and technological transformation.


During her speech, she highlighted the importance of transparency in the use of technology and algorithms in tax control processes, pointing out that these mechanisms must guarantee legal certainty and allow taxpayers to adequately exercise their right of defence.


He also stressed the need for organisations to strengthen their internal control, audit and technological governance processes, incorporating good practices in the use of digital tools, automation and personal data protection, in order to reduce risks and respond adequately to the new control models.


With its participation in this type of initiatives, ECIJA Ecuador reaffirms its commitment to the generation of spaces for technical dialogue and strategic support to companies in the face of regulatory changes in the tax environment.
