ECIJA GPA sets a milestone in Public and Regulatory Law
ECIJA GPA is pleased to announce a new legal milestone reached by its Public and Regulatory Law area, in a highly complex case dealing with the revocation of mining concessions due to environmental damage. This result represents a significant precedent for the interpretation of the regulatory framework governing mining activity in Ecuador.
The work was led by Gonzalo Muñoz Hidalgo and Jaime Alfonso Dousdebés Costa, who, together with a specialised technical team, developed a comprehensive strategy based on normative, jurisprudential and technical-regulatory analysis.
This achievement reaffirms the positioning of ECIJA GPA as a reference firm in regulatory matters, especially in strategic sectors such as mining, energy and infrastructure, where legal, technical and environmental aspects converge.
The firm's Public and Regulatory Law team will continue to support its clients with innovative and effective legal solutions to the challenges of the Ecuadorian regulatory environment.
We invite you to watch the explanatory video on this case and learn more about its impact on the legal framework of the mining sector in Ecuador.
