ECIJA Chile's contribution: institutionality, investment and data protection

In this special edition, Alfredo Moreno, Managing Partner of ECIJA Chile and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Chile, was the protagonist of an in-depth interview where he addressed the evolution of Spanish and European investment in the country, the role of Chilean institutions as a key factor of trust and the main challenges faced by foreign companies when landing in the local market. His analysis emphasises the need to understand the Chilean legal reality, adapt to its rules and build solid legal structures that allow for long-term sustainable development.

Trinidad Laborde, Compliance and Data Protection Manager at ECIJA Chile, participated as an expert in the special dedicated to the "Impact of the new Data Protection Law in Chile: What companies and citizens should know". In her intervention, she went in depth into the concept of personal data processing, the bases of lawfulness, the correct identification of personal data and the new rights of data subjects, highlighting the importance for organisations to start from now on their processes of regulatory and cultural adaptation to this new regulatory framework.

The participation of both professionals reflects ECIJA Chile's commitment to specialised legal analysis, the dissemination of good regulatory practices and strategic support to companies operating in increasingly demanding environments in terms of investment, regulatory compliance and data protection.
