1 in 4 children say they would rather talk to an AI than to a real person. Artificial intelligence does not distinguish well between accompanying and reinforcing problematic behaviour. Not because it is irresponsible, but because it does not understand what is at stake.

"While public discussion in several countries is focused on the possible banning of social networks for minors, the most immediate risk is, in my opinion, moving elsewhere: the daily use of generative artificial intelligence by children and adolescents. Unlike social networks, whose dangers we already sense, the risks of AI have not yet been fully understood," says our technology expert Mauricio París in his column for the Costa Rican newspaper La Nación.
