Tiago Cochofel de Azevedo

Tiago Cochofel de Azevedo focuses his practice on Labour Law, with significant experience across all employment-related matters, particularly in Labour Tech, multinational companies, international employment relations, employee mobility, and employee incentive schemes. He has extensive experience advising clients in Portugal and throughout the European Union, as well as in Angola, Cape Verde, and Timor-Leste.

He completed his traineeship and joined the Employment Department of Simmons & Simmons in Portugal, where he worked between 2004 and 2011. He subsequently joined the Employment Department of Vieira de Almeida & Associados, where he served as Associate and later as Managing Associate, between 2011 and 2023.

He currently serves as a Professor at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa, teaching Labour Law in the undergraduate law programme, as well as the course on Labour Restructuring in the postgraduate programme on Preventive Restructuring and Corporate Sustainability. He also regularly participates as a speaker at conferences related to Labour Law and Human Resources.

He is a member of the APODIT, Vice-President of the AJJ, and a member of the Social Sciences and Jurisprudence Section of the Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa. He has been with Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2023.
