Paola Checo is Senior Counsel at ECIJA Dominican Republic, with a practice focused on Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions, Intellectual Property, and Tax Law

She has extensive experience advising local and multinational clients on the structuring, reorganization, and development of their operations and investments in the Dominican Republic, particularly within the financial services, manufacturing, and construction sectors.

Paola provides comprehensive legal counsel in mergers and acquisitions transactions, due diligence processes, project finance matters, and corporate structuring, including company incorporations, establishment of branches, corporate reorganizations, dissolution of entities, and closing of operations. She also advises local and international non-profit organizations on corporate and operational matters.

Additionally, she has participated in the review and analysis of commercial agreements in the context of local and international transactions, as well as in the coordination of legal structures for the implementation of business ventures in the Dominican Republic.

Committed to community service, Paola is a founding member and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Voluntariado Huellas Misioneras, an organization dedicated to supporting the Dr. Hugo Mendoza Pediatric Hospital.
