Iván is the partner responsible for the Real Estate Department at ECIJA, with over 30 years of experience in complex high-value real estate transactions.

Iván Azinovic is the partner responsible for the Real Estate Law practice at ECIJA and has over three decades of experience in real estate law, urban planning, and complex transactions for national and international investors. His practice combines a strategic business vision with extensive experience in acquisitions, financing, sale and leaseback, joint ventures, real estate portfolio management, and corporate transactions involving underlying real estate assets.

He regularly advises investment funds, SOCIMIs, financial institutions, construction companies, developers, and family offices on high-value transactions, including thorough audits (due diligence), financial structuring, IPOs, and public takeover offers in regulated and multilateral markets, as well as complex regulatory issues at both national and international levels.

Before joining ECIJA, he led the real estate area and the real estate law department at EY for over a decade, and previously headed the real estate, construction, and urban planning area at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo. His track record has been recognized by international directories such as Chambers & Partners (Band 2) and Legal 500, establishing him as a reference in the real estate market.

  • Acquisition of the real estate portfolio of ZAMBAL SPAIN SOCIMI, S.A.
  • Advising SAREB on auditing its real estate portfolio.
  • IPO of AXIARE PATRIMONIO SOCIMI, S.A. and its subsequent sale to Inmobiliaria Colonial.
  • Initial public offering of ARIMA REAL ESTATE SOCIMI, S.A. and its sale to JSS Real Estate SOCIMI, S.A.
  • Acquisition of the ORIA CAMPUS office complex from METROVACESA by ATREA ORIA, S.A.
