Helena Suárez

He has extensive experience advising cultural entities, institutions and platforms linked to the creative industries on the analysis and structuring of ownership, the negotiation of licences and assignments, and the management of rights in digital environments. Her practice focuses on the legal organisation of creative catalogues and the design of multichannel exploitation models, incorporating advanced criteria for the protection and valuation of intangible assets.

Helena provides recurring advice on copyright matters applied to audiovisual, musical and literary content, including liaising with collecting societies, defining internal policies for the governance of intangible assets and preventing risks arising from the use of protected works in digital environments.

Before joining ECIJA, he developed an outstanding activity in dispute resolution as arbitrator of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO/WIPO) and the Madrid Court of Arbitration, participating in complex disputes related to intellectual property and entertainment. He has also been involved in projects related to the regulation of the audiovisual sector and content distribution.
