Carolina Lastra

Throughout his professional career, he has advised national and international companies on corporate tax matters, tax planning and regulatory compliance, supporting organisations in managing their tax obligations and making strategic decisions.

He has twenty years’ experience in the tax sector, having built an outstanding career at PwC Chile, where he held various managerial positions before serving as Senior Manager in the Tax and Legal Services Department and subsequently as Legal Counsel for the firm. Her experience includes advising organisations in the public and private sectors, such as universities, corporations, and companies in the telecommunications, IT services, mining and agriculture sectors, amongst others.

She also serves as Head of the Tax Legal Consultancy Division. She has been actively involved in academia as an assistant lecturer in Tax Law at the University of Chile Law School, helping to train new generations of professionals.

She is a member of the Chilean Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados de Chile A.G.), the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Chilean Institute of Tax Law. In addition, she has co-authored various specialist publications on tax matters, including *International Tax Review*, *Cahiers de Droit Fiscal International* and national newspapers such as *El Mercurio*.

Academic background

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal and Social Sciences, University of Chile.
• Master’s degree in Law, specialising in Tax Law, from the University of Chile.
