Carlos is a partner and tax specialist in tax planning and corporate restructuring for global companies
Carlos has over 20 years’ experience in tax consultancy and planning for individuals and companies, as well as in investments to and from Colombia, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganisations. His career includes advising clients and on projects across various sectors such as oil and gas, energy, retail, transport and logistics, and private equity funds – an area in which he also completed a postgraduate qualification in Mining and Petroleum Law.
He has worked at leading firms such as EY, Posse Herrera Ruiz and Baker McKenzie. Before joining ECIJA, he served as Tax Manager for the Andean Cluster at Kuehne+Nagel, and prior to that as a partner at a firm specialising in tax, corporate and capital markets law.
