Ana Catarina Silva is Of Counsel in the TMT Area - Privacy and Cybersecurity and Data Protection Officer.

He has a leading practice in Privacy and Personal Data Protection, E-Commerce, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications and Information Technology. She has extensive experience in providing legal advice to clients in Portugal and in several EU Member States.

With more than eight years of professional experience, she has worked as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) in several public and private organisations, providing training in data protection and cybersecurity. In addition to her legal work, she also works as a technology consultant, offering a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach that combines technical knowledge with a solid legal background.

She has several courses certified by the National Cybersecurity Centre (CNCS) in the areas of cybersecurity best practices, citizen cybersecurity and consumer cybersecurity, as well as by entities such as the Portuguese Association of Insurers.

His academic background includes participation in several conferences and workshops held within the framework of his Master, namely: International Conferences on Smart Cities; Online Crime - File Sharing under the Law (The Strike Case), with Andrew Sampson; Dark Web: Crime Under the Veil of Anonymity; Software Agents; Cybercrime: The National Context in a Global Scenario; Copyright and its Context; and the International Workshop on Electronic Identification and Data Protection - The European Regulation.

He started his professional career at PRIMAVERA Business Software Solutions (2015-2017) as Data Protection/Privacy Legal Advisor, where he also developed his master thesis on the topic "Legal Analysis of Sensitive Information Management in Cloud Services".

In 2017 she joined ECIJA Law & Technology in Madrid as Data Protection/Privacy Legal Counsel. She has been a member of Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2017.
