ECIJA has received eight nominations at the 2026 Legal Geek Leaders in Tech Law Awards, making it the Spanish firm with the highest number of nominations this year. The awards, organised in collaboration with Law.com and with Harvey as the headline sponsor, will take place on 14 October in London.
The firm has been shortlisted in the categories of Outstanding Collaboration, alongside CaixaBank; Best Use of AI; Knowledge Management Innovation; Client Management Innovation; Most Innovative International Law Firm; Regulatory, Governance & Compliance Technology; Technology for Good; and Women Leaders in Tech, with the nomination of Rocío Catalá, Director of Legal Innovation at ECIJA.
The nominations reinforce ECIJA’s ‘Full AI Firm’ strategy, which is based on integrating artificial intelligence across the board into the provision of legal services, knowledge management, client relations and the firm’s internal processes.
Among the recognised projects, the collaboration with CaixaBank stands out, aimed at transforming its legal function towards an AI-first model. The initiative combines technology, Legal Operations, governance, knowledge management and change management to redesign the legal department’s operating model and prepare its information architecture for the secure and scalable use of artificial intelligence solutions.
The Legal Geek Leaders in Tech Law Awards recognise the firms, teams and professionals who are leading the transformation of the legal sector through technology and innovation.
