Rui de Amorim Mesquita is Coordinating Partner in the Insurance and Civil Liability area
He practices in Insurance and Civil Liability, with special focus on protecting injured parties and victims of accidents, particularly in automobile liability, workplace accidents, personal accidents, life insurance, personal insurance, and property damage insurance. He has extensive experience defending individuals and companies in both litigation and out-of-court phases.
He began his career in the insurance sector, serving as Claims Director and Technical Director in national and international insurers. He was a member of the APS Automobile Technical Committee from 1992 to 1994 and teaches courses on Civil Liability and Medical Liability at the Portuguese Insurers Association. He founded João Cirne Tomar & Rui de Amorim Mesquita in 2003 and Rui Mesquita & Associados in 2020. He is a member of the American Association of Justice and PEOPIL.
He has been with Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2024.
