Maria Inês de Castro Ferreira Martins focuses on European Union Law, supported by a solid academic background and a professional path shaped by both national and international legal experiences.
She began her professional career at GPA Advogados – Law Firm, where she completed her traineeship with the Portuguese Bar Association, consolidating her foundation in legal practice and gaining direct exposure to the profession in a professional setting.
Throughout her career, she has also gained experience in institutions of recognized international relevance. In 2024, she interned at the Court of Justice of the European Union, in the Chambers of Judge Ricardo da Silva Passos, where she closely engaged with the functioning of one of the European Union’s main judicial institutions. In 2022, she interned at the United Nations, at the Permanent Mission of Portugal to the United Nations in New York, an experience that added an international dimension to her legal background.
Her path thus combines advanced academic training with direct exposure to different institutional environments, both domestic and international, enriching her legal perspective and professional practice.
She has been with Antas da Cunha Ecija since March 2026.
