José Luís Beleza is a Principal Associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Department.

José Luís Beleza works in the areas of Civil Law, Litigation and Arbitration, Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, providing legal advice to institutional and private clients in complex and multidisciplinary matters, with a strong procedural and strategic component.

Throughout his professional career, he has actively participated in relevant legislative initiatives, having been a member of the Working Group for the modification of the Guardianship Education Law and coordinator of the Working Group responsible for the regulation of the Law that approved the legal regime applicable to the prevention of domestic violence and the protection and assistance of its victims.

He started his professional internship at Pena, Machete, Botelho Moniz, Nobre Guedes, Ruiz & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados, in 1997. In 2002, he joined Alves Mendes, Jardim Gonçalves & Associados as an Associate Lawyer. Between 2006 and 2009, he served as Legal Advisor to the Secretary of State for Justice in the XVII and XVIII Constitutional Governments. In 2011, he joined Moser & Lobo D'Ávila - Sociedade de Advogados as an Associate Lawyer, and subsequently became a Senior Associate at Telles de Abreu e Associados - Sociedade de Advogados in 2014.

He has been part of Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2017.
