ECIJA integrates Nimerya, a digital transformation consultancy, and restructures its technology division
Just two weeks after being recognised by The Lawyer as Law Firm of the Year in Europe, ECIJA announces a new strategic step in its positioning as a leading firm in the digital economy. The British publication highlighted that ECIJA "has set out to build a fundamentally different operating system for how a law firm should function, redefining itself not as a legal practice that uses technology, but as a technology company that provides legal services".
In line with this vision, ECIJA is now incorporating Nimerya, a consultancy specialising in digital transformation, strengthening its ability to offer high-impact technological solutions and accelerating the evolution of the Group's operating model.
Founded in 2018, Nimerya was created with the aim of helping companies from different sectors to leverage the value of their data as a strategic tool for decision-making. In just seven years, the consultancy has experienced sustained growth, consolidating teams of experts in advanced analytics, automation and RPA, artificial intelligence, cloud architectures and cybersecurity.
With this integration, ECIJA is finalising a new technological structure under the ECIJA Tech brand, a redesigned division that will be structured around three pillars: Legaltech, Digital Services and Crypto. These units will operate in a coordinated manner, with their own identity and a joint vision, providing ECIJA with a unique value proposition in the legal and technology market.
ECIJA Tech: a unified model of technological execution
ECIJA Tech was created with the mission of connecting the ECIJA Group's in-depth legal and financial knowledge with first-class technological capabilities. Its objective: to transform data, processes and systems into real performance, generating efficiency, scalability and new ways of providing legal and corporate services.
Through its three areas of activity — Legaltech, Digital Services and Crypto — the division will offer services for the digitalisation of legal, tax and regulatory compliance departments; intelligent process automation; data analytics; artificial intelligence solutions; cybersecurity; blockchain; cloud; and digital asset consulting.
ECIJA Legaltech
The Legaltech unit, which will be led by Jesús Vicente (lawyer and engineer) and Belén de Moya (consultant), has been assisting the legal departments of large corporations in the transformation and digitisation of their legal function for nearly a decade, combining legal expertise and consulting to optimise processes, support decision-making and generate real value for global clients. The division provides services ranging from consulting and implementation of legaltech solutions, automation of legal processes, contract lifecycle management and compliance, to the digital transformation of legal, tax and compliance departments. This comprehensive approach has enabled ECIJA to establish itself as a benchmark in legal transformation, with international recognition such as Chambers NewLaw in Legal Transformation Consulting and a market vision that integrates law and technology into a single team.
ECIJA Digital Solutions
The incorporation of Nimerya marks the launch of ECIJA Digital Solutions, which was created with the mission of supporting organisations in the design and implementation of Business Intelligence, RPA, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud and Cybersecurity solutions, driving operational efficiency and value creation. The division will offer comprehensive digital transformation services, advising on the organisation's technology roadmap, including cloud architecture design, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, ensuring that digitisation is secure and scalable. The division will be led by the founders, Daniel López Macías and Sergio González Márquez.
ECIJA Crypto
The integration in July of CLCripto, a leading boutique firm specialising in legal and tax advice on crypto assets and Web3, consolidated ECIJA's position as a leading firm in the digital economy. Under the leadership of Jesús Lorente, founder of CLCripto, the unit continues to develop specialised solutions for a rapidly evolving ecosystem.
