ECIJA has appointed Eva Santervás to strengthen its financial regulation practice

ECIJA continues its growth strategy by strengthening its Madrid office and expanding its range of services with the appointment of Eva Santervás, who joins the firm as a partner to bolster the Financial Regulation practice in Spain.

Santervás comes from Deloitte Legal, where she has spent the last 15 years developing her career specializing in financial regulation. Throughout her career, she has advised some of the leading financial institutions and fintech companies in Spain and internationally on matters such as banking and payment services, electronic money, consumer credit, anti-money laundering, and digital assets.

She also has extensive experience in projects at the intersection of regulation and technology, including authorization processes and the establishment of new institutions, product launches, international expansion, and projects related to crypto assets, tokenization, cryptocurrency payments, follower tokens, and NFTs.

Santervás's appointment will allow ECIJA to expand its range of services for the financial sector and complement the capabilities of its Banking and Finance team, particularly enhancing regulatory advisory and synergies with other areas of the firm related to fintech, digital assets, technology, data protection, compliance, and Commercial Law/Mergers and Acquisitions.

Santervás's career has been recognized by some of the most important directories and publications in the sector. In 2022, she was the first associate to be recognized by Chambers Europe as 'Associate to Watch' in Financial Services Regulation; In 2023, *Expansión* included her among the most promising young business lawyers in Spain; and in 2024 she was a finalist at the Women in Business Law Awards by Euromoney in the category of Financial Regulation Lawyer of the Year. She is also a member of Women in Banking Spain, an initiative that promotes greater female representation in leadership positions within the financial sector.
