ECIJA makes history: named Law Firm of the Year in Europe and Iberia at The Lawyer European Awards 2025
ECIJA has today achieved one of the most significant milestones in contemporary European law by being recognised as Law Firm of the Year in Europe at The Lawyer European Awards 2025, the highest award given by the prestigious British publication. The firm was also named Iberian Law Firm of the Year, ahead of leading international and domestic firms such as Greenberg Traurig, Reed Smith, Hengeler Mueller, Garrigues, Uría, Cuatrecasas and Pérez-Llorca.
The jury highlighted ECIJA's strategic conviction, cohesive culture and model of growth and innovation as differentiating factors that are redefining the standards of legal practice in Europe.
At the same time, on an equally historic night for the firm, ECIJA was honoured at the Legal 500 Iberian Awards 2025, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid, as TMT Law Firm of the Year in Iberia.
At the same ceremony, Teresa Pereyra, partner at ECIJA, was recognised as Next Generation Partner of the Year by Legal 500 in Privacy and Data Protection, reinforcing the firm's leadership in one of the most mature and promising regulatory areas of the market.
An evening that defines a firm model
These awards come just a week after ECIJA's annual partners' meeting, where the firm reaffirmed its strategic vision with a message that sums up its competitive position: "we are unique, we are leaders". Tonight's awards confirm that this message is not just an internal statement, but a reality recognised by the European and global market.
