ECIJA consolidates its international leadership with 53 recognitions in Chambers Latin America 2026
Chambers & Partners, one of the most prestigious global legal directories, has published its Latin America 2026 edition, in which ECIJA has been recognised as one of the leading law firms in the region. This year the firm reaches 53 recognitions, including practice area and individual rankings, reinforcing its position as a full service firm of reference in Latin America.
In this edition, ECIJA expands its regional coverage with the inclusion of three new jurisdictions in the ranking: Argentina, El Salvador and Guatemala, further consolidating its presence in Latin America.
Among the most relevant milestones are:
TMT leadership in Costa Rica, which consolidates ECIJA as a regional benchmark in advising on emerging technologies and digital economy.
The recognition of Gonzalo González Galarza (Ecuador) in Band 1 in Energy and Natural Resources, which reaffirms the firm's influence in strategic projects in the Latin American energy sector.
The strengthening of Mexico, with four recognised practice areas - Corporate/M&A (Highly Regarded), Dispute Resolution, Environment, TMT and Labour & Employment - as well as individual mentions in Data Protection and Intellectual Property.
In total, 16 practice areas have been highlighted in key jurisdictions such as Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Argentina, El Salvador and Guatemala. In addition, 37 individual awards highlight the talent of the firm's lawyers across the region.
