ECIJA Canarias stresses that the island's audiovisual ecosystem maintains its position as an international hub thanks to a competitive fiscal framework, a solid legal environment and the support of the industry in the face of this possible measure.
The threat of a 100% tariff on non-US productions, announced by the new Trump Administration, has generated concern in the sector, including the Canary Islands audiovisual ecosystem. However, at ECIJA Canarias we are confident that the legal soundness, tax incentives and the opposition of the US production companies themselves will put the brakes on this measure.
An expanding industry, a competitive fiscal framework and a secure legal environment continue to position the Canary Islands as an international benchmark.
