Teresa is a partner specialising in privacy, data protection and information technology, with more than twenty years of international experience.

He has more than two decades of experience advising multinationals and large corporate groups on privacy, data protection, information technology and security. He leads high-impact multi-jurisdictional projects with a special focus on regulated sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, finance, advertising and the digital economy. His practice includes the design and implementation of compliance strategies, audits, impact assessments, sanctioning procedures and advice on new European regulations such as the Artificial Intelligence Regulation and the Data Act.

Prior to joining ECIJA, he spent nine years at the Data Protection Agency of the Community of Madrid, where he participated in European projects, supervision and training. Her career has been recognised by The Legal 500 EMEA as a Next Generation Partner in Data Protection (2022-2024), having previously been highlighted as a Rising Star ( 2021). In 2024 she was awarded the Deusto Business School's Women and Leadership Award for her contribution to female leadership in the legal and technology sector.

She combines her professional practice with an intense academic work as a lecturer in Master's and postgraduate programmes, and as a regular speaker at national and international forums. In addition, she directs ECIJA by Women, the firm's global initiative to promote equality and female leadership, is co-founder of the Technology Committee of Women in a Legal World and a mentor for IE's Women in Law programme.
