María Marqués

She has advised mutual insurance entities, metallurgical industries, hotel chains, railway and shipping companies, and service sector businesses in a wide range of proceedings, including individual and collective dismissals, substantial modification of working conditions, collective bargaining, wage claims, business succession, penalties for lack of safety measures, and labor and administrative sanctions.

Before joining ECIJA, María worked as a labor lawyer at several prominent law firms. She joined ECIJA in October 2018 and was promoted to partner in August 2019. Between 2000 and 2004, she served as Human Resources Director at a major automotive components manufacturer. Since registering with the Bar on January 15, 1997, she has combined her in-house experience with uninterrupted legal practice, focusing on labor law throughout her 21-year career.
