Álvaro Ordóñez

His practice has focused on mining, energy and infrastructure projects, combining high-level legal advice with in-depth knowledge of the regulatory and sustainability environment. He has participated in the structuring of complex operations, financing of extractive projects, obtaining licenses and permits, as well as in the negotiation of strategic contracts for the country. He has served as Undersecretary of Mining Contracting and as Director of the Chamber of Mines of Ecuador.

Álvaro holds an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Policy from the University of Denver (USA) and has been recognised by international rankings such as Leaders League for his leadership in the areas of mining, energy and natural resources.
